Pat Sidoryk and her husband, Bill, live on a mixed farm east and north of
Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. She is mother of three grown children and
grandmother of seven. Her summers are very busy with a large yard full of
trees, shrubs, flowers, a vegetable garden, a small rook garden, and a raised
garden bed plus everyday chores including milk cows, beef cows, chickens and
ducks.
She belongs to the SASK ALTA VISUAL ARTS GUILD and her special interest is
sketching birds and animals in black and white and also in full color.
Mediums used are pen, pencil, colored pencils and colored markers. The
winter months are when most of her artwork gets done. She has no formal training
or ad lessons, and considers herself self-taught. At exhibitions she
enjoys meeting the other artists, and talking to all the appreciative
viewers. She placed second for colored drawing of "Nesting Common
Loon" at the Juried Ad Show Judging, held on November 18, 1995 at the Barr
Colony Heritage Cultural Center, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
Her hobbies include sketching, organic gardening, growing flowers, house-plants,
cooking, baking, dried-flower arrangements (using wild grasses and wild
flowers), and making special greeting cards. There aren't enough hours in
the day to do all the things that Pat would like to do, and she definitely is
never bored.
