Soccer
(known as Football in the early days)
Many of the early settlers had experience playing soccer in Britain. It
was the most popular sport in the early days and Lloydminster's side was one of
the top teams in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Immediately below is the Lloydminster's side celebrating their victory over Edmonton
that made them
the
Northern Alberta representative in the 1913 provincial championship.
